Basic Housing Search

The Massachusetts Accessibile Housing Registry (MassAccess) provides three ways to conduct a basic housing search.

View All Vacant Listings

Selecting the View All Vacant Listings link on the MassAccess home page performs a search of all listings available in the MassAccess Housing Registry. The system displays a Search Results page listing all of the developments with vacant units. By default, the results are sorted by Town and then by Development. At the bottom of the Search Results page, the system identifies the search criteria that were used to conduct the search.

View All Vacant Accessible/Adaptable Listings

Selecting the View All Vacant Accessible/Adaptable Listings link performs a search for all listings identified as accessible or adaptable in the MassAccess Housing Registry. The system displays a Search Results page listing all matching developments. By default, the results are sorted by Town and then by Development. At the bottom of the Search Results page, the system identifies the search criteria that were used to conduct the search.

To Use the Quick Search Form

The Quick Search form is located at the center of the MassAccess home page. Select the options you want to include as your search criteria, and choose the Search button.

  1. You can search for Accessible/Adaptable housing or Income-Based/Subsidized housing. You can select one, both, or neither option.

  2. In the Region drop-down list, you can select a region (for example, Western Massachusetts, North Shore, etc.) to narrow your search results.  By selecting Any Region, you can search for housing across the state.

  3. In the Number of Bedrooms drop-down list, you can specify the number of bedrooms you are seeking. If you specify "Any", the system searches all available housing regardless of the number of bedrooms. You can also select Congregate as a bedroom type for housing with multiple bedrooms.
